My heart melted with these two from the very beginning. I met with them one cold and sunny morning at Starbucks. Starbucks isn’t really Randy’s thing, but he cooperated as Shannon and I sipped our latte’s around a table outside. We talked weddings and gushed over Pinterest. After several minutes of nothing but finite details regarding centerpieces, Randy interjected with the most awesome bomb of all: they wanted to model their wedding after Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s wedding. BOOM. Think country glam, tons of flowers, natural elements and loads of DIY details. I wanted to hug and kiss them right there, but I thought that might be a little much.
We talked more about their amazing wedding next June, but we talked even more about their engagement session in the coming weeks. Since I was already in love with this super sweet couple, I knew their engagement session was going to be awesome. Then they dropped another awesome bomb: they were bringing their horses. Right then, I squealed with joy. So when I showed up to take Shannon and Randy’s engagement pictures, it was nothing short of what I have imagined it to be. The light was delicious and dreamy, Shannon was fabulous and Randy was a true, handsome cowboy. To top it off, they are so in love and it translates so well into still frames. Wow.
Thank you Shannon and Randy for creating such a beautiful setting and doing all the work to bring the horses out. It was truly a dream and I can only imagine what other amazingness you have in store for your wedding 🙂 Shannon and Randy’s pictures were taken at Shannon’s family farm in Southern Maryland.
