It was a long, peaceful drive out to the country… in the complete opposite corner of Maryland from where I live. A new landscape, a couple in love and a refreshing perspective. My creative batteries were re-charged after meeting with Erin and Nick. They had me come out to Western Maryland (just about to Deep Creek Lake) to Erin’s mother’s farm and take their engagement pictures early in June. Thrilled as ever to shoot in a new location – a very rustic farm, at that – but even more thrilled was I when Erin pulled out the most adorable “farm boots” for me to wear while we walked the soggy grounds of the land! She was dressed head-to-toe in J. Crew (a woman after my own retail heart), and Nick was clad in very dapper attire! The contrast they made in their classic and elegant clothes against the rough farm elements made for an amazing combination. They are smitten with each other, too, which made it all the better 🙂
Thank you, Erin and Nick, for having me come out there… photographing you two is a dream, and makes me SO excited for your wedding later this summer!
