Sunset around Annapolis on a warm spring day is probably the best thing in the world. There’s romance in the air just from walking around the historic streets, strolling hand-in-hand with your sweetheart, and gazing at the boats lazily floating by on the water. It’s no wonder why so many people are attracted to this area as a background for their some romantic milestone. It was downtown Annapolis in the winter, however, that inspired Matt and Kathryn to profess their true feelings for each other and decide to get hitched. They brought me back to Annapolis with them, although this time Kathryn was wearing THE ring and I was there to document their engagement!
We walked around downtown that evening, talking details about their wedding this coming fall (which I’m so thrilled to photograph!), and funny stories of when they were dating. I so enjoyed listening to their conversations, and just watching them be silly together. It’s during these times I spend with my wedding couples that I really get to know them and gain a deeper appreciation for their relationship. They are so perfect together and compliment each other in the most incredible way! These pictures make me so excited for their wedding, I hope you’ll enjoy them too!
The Federal House is “the scene of the crime.” Although it’s not the place of proposal, it was where they decided that they wanted to get married!
My Favorite. Swoon.
