Ok, so it’s no secret that I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately. But as soon as I admitted my weakness, inspiration and motivation started pouring out. I looked up, closed my eyes, and thanked God that someone was here with a camera to catch the beauty that He created. Fall is an amazing time and I love living in Maryland if only for this season. The leaves this weekend in Southern Maryland are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. Fire reds, mingled in with flaming yellows and warm browns. It never ceases to knock me off my feet and be humbled by this earth’s creation.
Such beauty set the scene for Kristina’s bridal shoot on Sunday. We met at a friends’ farm, right here in Southern Maryland. I’ve shot there just about every season so far (except winter), so I’ve gotten to see it in very different lights. Kristina got married early in October, but wanted more pictures of her in her dress. It’s not hard to see why… the dress was fabulous in every way and fit Kristina like a glove. She got it at Kleinfeld’s in New York, home to “Say Yes to the Dress” TV show. Kristina was an awesome model and I’m so thankful… not many people would lay in the middle of a field or walk down dirty railroad in a designer gown. But the pictures are worth it, and the memories for Kristina in her dress are, hopefully, priceless.
