It gives me so much joy to be able to photograph couples in love. It’s one of my favorite things. What gives me even more joy is when old friends e-mail me to take their pictures. It’s an awesome experience to catch up after so many years and see how different (or the same!) people turn out to be.

Shannon is no exception. We went to the same middle school, hung out with the same people. When I moved schools for High School, I lost touch with so many people I was such good friends with – Shannon included. Thanks to Facebook, I’ve been able to reconnect to a lot of old friends, and now that we’re at the age of getting married (or having babies…), it just thrills the heck out of me that my friends come and ask me to take their wedding and engagement pictures!

Shannon and Lee have been dating for, like, ever. At least that’s how they describe it. Shannon is a doll and super nice to everyone. She has a smile that could kill and the most contagious laugh! This is my first time meeting Lee, but he had a perma-smile on his face the whole time. Probably because my camera made him terribly uncomfortable. Regardless, he is so sweet and makes Shannon laugh. A lot. She puts him at ease. Shannon and Lee… they just “work.”

They will be getting married this June down in Key West alongside a slew of family and friends. Just getting a little dose of their personalities together, I have no doubts that it will be the most beautiful wedding. Shannon and Lee – I wish you guys all the best, and I’m so happy to be able to capture your engagement for you 🙂
