Meet Chelsea

I’m sitting here  at my trusty Mac, which I’ve finally figured out, blogging. I love to blog. Really. I used to journal as a kid and my sweet sister-in-law, a “retired” middle school english teacher, used to encourage me to write creatively. I hated school because I always had to write what the teacher wanted…until college. When I got married three years ago, I started a little personal blog of my own. Around that time, blogging was new and the average housewife/hobby-ist/politician, etc, were using blogs as a means to relate to other people and themselves. A virtual journal of sorts.

It is my favorite thing when I meet a new client and they give me a HUGE hug and tell me that they feel like they already know me just from reading my blog! It makes me feel two things: a) makes me feel kinda like a celebrity… I mean, strangers? Who really wants to read about me anyway!? and b) makes me feel successful, because the whole point of starting a blog and NOT a website was to relate with you and have you feel like you know me. For a lot of people, I photograph intimate moments of their families. How weird would it be to have a perfect stranger with no personality capturing those moments for you? So, that leads me to my only point for the evening:

I’m glad you’re here.

And now, I want to sincerely apologize to all my clients who I haven’t blogged yet. I am still recovering from the month of October, which was a complete monster. I loved every minute, but now I’m drowning in Photos and I’m trying my hardest to get everyone’s pictures back before the Holidays. So THANK YOU for being so patient. For those of you who haven’t seen a little glimpse of their sessions, here’s a little peek. I will be blogging all of these over the next several weeks, so be sure to check back often.

OH! And if you haven’t yet, check out THIS POST to enter in another $100 giveaway to Minted.com for Holiday and Christmas photo cards! The contest ends Friday!

And now, what’s been keeping me busy for the past THREE weeks (Holy cow. *Palm to forehead.* I have to edit all of these now!)

The Abell Family – Southern Maryland

The Behrens Family – Sotterley Plantation, Hollywood, MD. And the little girl who ran the show 🙂

The Bowling Siblings – Leonardtown, MD

The Lufriu Family – Greenwell State Park, Hollywood, MD. A little patriotic pride…and ok, I cried a little.

Matt & Lynsey are expecting – Severna Park, MD

Hannah & Catherine: Sweetest Cousins – Bowie, MD

Heather & Keith are engaged – Federal Hill, Baltimore, MD

Jessica & Bobby – Greenwell State Park, Hollywood, MD. Two of my most favorite (and creative!) people to photograph.

The Mallare Family – Kinder Park, Severna Park, MD. These two girls are ah-dorable and full of personality!

The Shepard Family – Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

Christina & AJ (My sister and bro-in-law) – Odenton, MD

Can you tell that Christmas is coming up?! Everyone is in Fall and winter colors! I love this time of year… Happy Wednesday everyone!
