Meet Chelsea

Sometimes I am blown away by people’s kindness. In a world filled with so many terrible things, it gives me hope for the world when I come across people who are just simply nice.

So describes the Naff family.

On my trip down to the Virginia Beach area a few weekends ago, I met up with one of Christine’s friends, Elizabeth. I had never met Elizabeth or her family before, but after exchanging several e-mails prior to our morning together, I knew I instantly liked Elizabeth! When I met her and her family, my inclinations were right. They are a fun family, so filled with joy and happiness. They are all so close and they just love each other dearly.

The boys definitely rule the family. TJ and Sammy are a hoot. There could not be two more opposite personalities, but somehow, they get along so well! Props to Elizabeth and Mark, for getting Sammy to crack a smile and for getting TJ to crack and even BIGGER smile!

I plan on making another trip down in a few more months JUST because I had so much fun with my new friends. Elizabeth, Mark, Sammy and TJ, thank you for making me feel so welcome. I hope that you’ll always emit kindness and joy wherever you go!

This is Sammy. He’s quite a stud, if I do say so, and at 10 years old, he’s pretty mature, too. He confessed to me about 10 seconds before this picture that he really hated getting his picture taken. I told him to suck it up. Later his mother made him put on his boy scout uniform. I can’t confirm or deny, but I think I saw flames come out of Sammy’s nostrils.

(By the by…please take note of some delicious bokeh going on in the trees!)

Here’s TJ and he’s 6. He’s a stud too, but he confessed that he really didn’t mind getting his picture taken! However, about 10 seconds after this shot, I told him I thought his hairstyle was cool. He proceeded to tell me I could stop taking pictures of him now.

They were good sports. I told them to give me their toughest, most suave look they could throw at me.

Meet Elizabeth and Mark. They’ve been married for almost 15 years (do I have that right, E?) and are still madly in love with each other.

Here’s Mark. He’s hi-lar-i-ous. I love this series because (sorry Mark!) he was explaining his website to me – in great detail, if I might add – and I was so caught up in his hand expressions that I just was busy snapping away with my camera. I know I heard computers, faith and fitness in there somewhere! Mark – I’m sorry for not paying attention, but you have to love this series! For payback, you can put your website in a comment below for all to click!

This. Is. Elizabeth. She is quite possible one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met – both inside and out. We talked like we had been friends for years! She is so sweet and it’s so evident that she just loves her family more than anything.

Are there any words? Boys will be boys…

Please don’t ask me why, but I just love this picture. TJ was swinging with his Dad when I took it. It makes me think back to the care-free days of being a kid. Mmm…hello, bright blue swing.

Thanks again, Naff Family, for inviting me so kindly into your home. I had an absolute blast hanging out with y’all for an afternoon! When I come back in a few months, I expect to meet up with you for a re-shoot!
