Two weekends ago, I learned – thoroughly – the geography of coastal Virginia.
This was not an accident, you see. I was headed down to Hampton to meet this fabulous, simply adorable family for the weekend. Christine and I had been exchanging e-mails for months now, trying to coordinate an out-of-state photo session. (P.S. Did you know MB Photography travels?! Why yes, I do!)
When I arrived at their house, it was a quiet Saturday morning. Nonetheless, I was greeted with warm smiles all around, not only from Christine, but also her husband Tim, and baby Grayson. I was instantly smitten when I saw Grayson’s chubby little legs. I knew at that point, we were going to have a great time!
Christine and Tim have a cute little house, so after we spent some time there, we headed on over to Grandma and Grandpa’s house where we met up with some cousins! What an amazing family they are. We quickly discovered that we had a lot of (eerily strange) things in common! After only a few minutes of chasing all the kids around the back yard, I felt so welcomed by all of the families! It’s a truly humbling experience being around a family who loves each other so much.
Christine, thanks for organizing everyone to get together and thank you for bringing me down to VA to spend the morning with y’all! It was SO much fun and I hope we can do it again soon 🙂
Here’s the real reason I came down for the weekend. Grayson has the biggest cheeks I’ve ever seen. I love them!
I found this out after meeting Christine’s friend, Elizabeth, but Christine and Tim were high school sweethearts? It totally makes sense, too. I love the way they look at each other!
Grandma and Grandpa with their grand kids in a very unperfect moment. It’s just simply perfect. Everyone is happy.
Grayson is so serious. He watches everything!
Ok, sorry Grandma and Grandpa, I just HAD to. This is priceless. The kid is tough to crack!
This is one of my favorites from the day. As soon as that guitar came out, it was ALL I could do to not cry! It was so sweet.
Love this series from the morning!
Thanks again Christine, Tim and Grayson! May you have a rich life full of blessings with little Grayson!
